One aspect of getting healthy that a lot of people overlook is the emotional side.
Yes, your nutrition has gone down the toilet and you’ve put on a lot of weight. But why? What caused you to turn to bad eating in the first place?
If you have self esteem issues, you’re a lot less likely to take care of your body.
If you didn’t have any money growing up, you’re a lot less likely to know what eating healthy looks like.
And if you went through any trauma, your body is holding on to a lot of that weight to protect yourself.
I’ve been trying to get healthy for years. For a couple of months, I would have success, but then I would just put the weight back on.
This time around, I’ve been working through my trauma and emotional issues.
And you know what? I’ve let go of 25 pounds and NONE of it has come back. It’s been that way for almost a year now.
Anyone can lose weight. Because when you’ve lost something, that indicates that you’re going to find it again.
But in order to let go of the weight for good, and make sure it never comes back, you have to work through the emotions. You have to solve the issues that got you here in the first place.
I know it’s hard, but I believe in you.
